Review Juno E Series LED Recessed Downlight Retrofit
The Juno E Series 5/6 inch Recessed LED Retrofit Downlight Kit is an easy to use eco-friendly replacement upgrade kit for older recessed can downlights using incandescent or halogen floodlights.
The finished product is a modern one piece clean flush mounted look that adds style to any room in the house. LED lighting will help cut your energy bill and save you money as they last longer then regular incandescent or CFL bulbs.
Our team completed an install retrofit with the Juno E Series and here are the results.
Features of the Juno E Series Retrofit kit
One of the great features of this retrofit kit is that it can easily be screwed into a regular can light recessed fixture bulb socket using the included quick connect adapter in minutes or hardwired to a can light fixture saving so much time. The lighting can also be used in wet areas.
The LED light also features 5 settings for choosing your lighting color from soft white 2700K to daylight 5000K while using only 10.5 watts. The light housing is available in four colors white, brushed nickel, matte black and oil-rubbed bronze.
The Juno E Series is made of lightweight aluminum. The retrofit led light can also be riveted to older can light recessed fixtures if needed and still sit flush. The torsion springs are attached with screws so if riveting to a can light fixture shell you won’t have to break welds to remove them.

Juno E Series step by step install instructions
Installation was simple and straight forward. We wore gloves and safety glass during the install. Electrical power to the recessed can lights was turned off at the breaker and confirmed by testing with a multimeter.
We then unsecured and slid the can light housing out of the ceiling to gain access to the wiring. The torsion brackets on the Juno light were adjusted to fit our 5″ fixtures and retightened.
Our previous recessed can lights used flood bulbs so attaching the Juno retrofit light was simple just screwed the quick connect adapter into the light bulb socket and plugged the other end of the adapter into the LED light
Then we place the metal can light housing back into the ceiling cutout and secured it to the bracket. We then selected our desired color setting on the selector switch 2700K for soft white and prepared to mount the new light to the metal can housing.
Attaching the new LED light requires pressing the two torsion springs on the new light together and sliding them into the torsion spring brackets inside the can light housing. Once that is done the new light is pushed up flush to the ceiling and the install is complete. We turned the breakers back on and test the new light.
